From May 2 to 4, 2025 in Venice Mestre, experience a unique festival filled with creativity, emotion, and frames coming to life.

A unique Film Festival

Stop e-Motion Days (SeM Days) is an international festival dedicated to the art of stop-motion animation - a unique cinematic technique that merges handcrafted artistry with the creativity of traditional animation.

Taking place from May 2 to 4, 2025, at M9 – Museum of the 20th Century in Venice Mestre, the festival will showcase an exciting lineup of short films and feature films, celebrating both emerging and established filmmakers.

SeM Days embraces all forms of stop-motion, including puppet animation, claymation, model animation, pixilation, and cutout animation, offering a platform to explore the many techniques that bring frame-by-frame animation to life.

Beyond screenings, the festival features workshops, retrospectives, talks, and interactive experiences designed to engage and inspire audiences. Young talents will have the chance to take part in professional training labs, while retrospectives will honor influential artists who have shaped the history of stop-motion.

More than just a festival, SeM Days aims to create a lasting space for cultural exchange, fostering connections between students, professionals, and the local community.

Join us in celebrating the magic of stop-motion animation!
